VUMAPS – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Welcome to Vumaps. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Vumaps website, web-based applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). The Platform includes features such as map visualization, data downloads, design tools, and subscription-based services. By using Vumaps, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.
1. Definitions
• Platform: The Vumaps website and all related services or software. • User / You: Any individual or organization accessing or using the Vumaps Platform. • Account: A registered profile used to access premium or restricted services. • Data: Geospatial, map, or tabular information displayed or made available through the Platform. • Design Studio: A workspace where users can design or customize maps using tools or by uploading their own datasets. • Coins / Credits: Virtual currency used to access premium or paid services. • Subscription Plan: A time-based paid plan providing access to premium features.
2. Use of the Platform
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You shall not: • Upload or distribute unlawful, defamatory, or offensive content. • Reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data without authorization. • Misuse or modify map data for illegal or misleading purposes. • Violate intellectual property or data protection laws.
3. User Accounts
Some Platform features require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activity under your account. Vumaps may suspend or terminate any account found in violation of these Terms.
4. Services and Features
Free Access: • Users may explore maps, datasets, and visual content free of charge. • Free exports may include a Vumaps watermark. Paid Services: • Premium users can download maps, datasets (PDF, CSV, GeoJSON), or export high-resolution designs without a watermark. • Payments are managed via Coins or Subscription Plans. • Coins are non-refundable and cannot be converted to cash. Custom Plans: • Organizations, media agencies, and NGOs may request tailored pricing and features. Design Studio: • Users may upload data or create customized map designs. • Uploaded content must comply with copyright and data privacy regulations. • Vumaps does not claim ownership over user-created designs but may temporarily store them for service delivery.
5. Payment and Refunds
• All transactions are processed securely via third-party payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay). • Prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated. • Once a digital file (map/data) is downloaded, refunds will not be issued. • Subscription plans expire automatically at the end of their validity period. Coins do not expire.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All Platform content, including maps, templates, UI elements, software, and datasets developed by Vumaps, remains the intellectual property of Vumtech Design & Geospatial Pvt. Ltd. Open data sources are used in compliance with their respective licenses. Users may not copy, resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any material without written consent.
7. Data and Map Accuracy
Vumaps aims to provide accurate and updated information but does not guarantee completeness or precision. Users are advised to verify data independently before use in research, reporting, or decision-making. Vumaps shall not be held liable for any errors or losses resulting from reliance on Platform data.
8. Data Privacy and Security
Vumaps collects and processes user data as outlined in its Privacy and Cancellation Policy. Data and payments are transmitted via secure, encrypted channels. User-uploaded data remains private unless the user explicitly publishes or shares it.
9. Limitation of Liability
Vumaps and its affiliates shall not be liable for: • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. • Data loss or business interruptions. • Map inaccuracies or transmission errors. The maximum liability of Vumaps shall not exceed the total amount paid by the user during the 30 days preceding the claim.
10. Modifications to the Platform
Vumaps reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service without prior notice.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Platform. Upon termination, your access to paid features will end immediately.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
